The Bureau of Engineering (BOE) is responsible for the City’s vast network of infrastructure within the public right of way, and includes the planning, design, and construction of public facilities, and the management and delivery of voter-approved public bond funds, federally funded projects, and the delivery of cross-sector local government programs, that serve millions of residents and businesses in diverse neighborhoods and industries.
The Bureau employs over 800 engineers, architects, surveyors, technical support staff, and administrative professionals who deliver comprehensive, innovative engineering services by using best-in-class management practices and fostering multi-agency collaborations that are transparent and accountable.
Requirements:
Graduation from a recognized four-year college or university.
Candidate must also have the legal right to work in the United States.
Candidate must have good knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills required.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent assigned to this position is in the Real Estate Division of the BOE and provides administrative support to the Division. The intern is responsible for uploading reference documents into the project management program, revising the Division's policies and procedures manual, and developing and maintaining Division templates.
Additionally, the intern will maintain files and records to ensure all financial and real estate documents are preserved and assists in clerical activities when required and directed by management, including updating and organizing files for records retention.
Other duties include performing necessary arithmetic calculations and verifying the accuracy of invoices. This position requires operating office machines and equipment and processing requests for service.
