This FSS I position is in the Controller’s Office Citywide Payroll Support Section and is responsible for providing 2nd level Payroll support to the Citywide Payroll help desk.

Duties:
  • Support the Workday Human Resource and Payroll (HRP) System monitoring input and output processing across various modules and reviewing pay results;
  • Conduct analysis, troubleshoot, and research to resolve Workday system errors and reported problems;
  • Perform proactive change management, review new Workday releases, assess upcoming changes for their impact on existing processes and systems, and recommend workflow improvements based on thorough analysis of payroll procedures and methods;
  • Gather and prepare system requirements, write SNOW incidents for necessary programming fixes and enhancements, and work closely with the internal Payroll Systems team, consultants, and/or ITA to ensure successful testing and implementation of solutions;
  • Prepare formal communications for departments, draft and maintain operational procedures and manuals, develop essential payroll reports, deliver user training and presentations;
  • Review and analyze various reports to maintain data validity and system information control;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
