TRANSFER OR PAY GRADE ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITY
BACKGROUND
The Los Angeles City
Fire Department (LAFD) has a transfer or pay grade opportunity for one Senior
Personnel Analyst II position. The Senior Personnel Analyst II will be assigned
to the Department’s Human Resources Division, Records Unit.
REQUIREMENTS
A strong background in
the following is highly desirable: interpretation/analysis of Civil Service
Rules, City Charter, Administrative Code, and MOU provisions; leading
records-related processes; and hands-on Workday knowledge/experience processing
transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Personnel Director, the Senior Personnel Analyst II serves as the Records and Project Management Manager for LAFD and provides guidance on the interpretation and application of various MOU agreements, Administrative Code, Civil Service Rules, and Personnel Policies and Procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Additional functions of this position include advising on City policies, provisions, rules, and employee relations issues; responding to employee grievances; addressing pay-related issues; participating in joint labor and management committee (JLMC) meetings; participating in ERB arbitrations, EEOC mediations, and other administrative hearings; and other duties as assigned
