Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has one (1) Air Conditioning Mechanic Supervisor position available in the Air Conditioning Shop. This role involves assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of a crew responsible for installing, modifying, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems. Additional duties include preparing cost estimates for new installations, applying effective supervisory principles, and ensuring compliance with equal employment opportunity responsibilities.
One (1) Position, 9/80 Schedule, Day Shift
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid CA Driver’s License and must be able to operate a City vehicle during the course of employment. An active LAWA Security Badge is required at all times.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Four years of full-time paid experience as an air conditioning mechanic or in a craft at the journey level involved in the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and ventilating equipment, with two years of experience working with one or more of the following controls:
1. Electric controls
2. Electronic controls
3. Pneumatic controls
4. Direct digital control systems
5. Energy management and building automation controls
