Serving as the receptionist at front desk location, referring customers to the responsible electric service representatives, engineers, and pole spotters to initiate and process electric service installations, upgrades, and removals; Performs difficult clerical work which requires frequent exercise of independent judgement, and discretion; Receiving and processing payments from customers in person and over the phone for authorized construction charges by check or credit card and uses discretion and maintains confidentiality to protect customers information, when assisting customers; Logging customer plans and creating customer commitment and required documentation in Work Management Information System (WMIS); Picking up, distributing, and mailing documents may be required at various locations. Filing, answering phones, ordering office supplies; Preparing files for records retention, including preparing retention schedules and transfers; Acting as back-up to the Control Clerks responsible for processing request for initiation of and termination for all types of electrical services, including EV/Telecom and Solar submittals, using WMIS and Customer Care Billing Systems (CCB), screening and forwarding customer design information to the appropriate engineers and inspectors; assisting with the photocopying, circulation and archiving of engineering drawings of all s; Processing releases to energize services issued from permitting agencies; Releasing holds on services related to charger; Responding to customer requests for information regarding work on electric services; Processing payments, interdepartmental orders, returned checks, refunds, and related documentation; Performing other related clerical duties as required.

Overtime may be available. Telecommuting is limited due to operational needs of this position. This position will report onsite for up to six months for training. A performance test may be given.
