Performs journey-level work in the maintenance and repair of construction, road maintenance, airfield equipment, aerial lift equipment, heat transfer systems, emergency response or firefighting equipment; Diagnosis, repair, replace and reconditioning of related components Including computer controlled ignition, controller area network systems, emission systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, fuel systems, steering & suspension systems, air, electric, hydraulic brake systems, electrical systems, battery & cranking circuits, pneumatic & hydraulic systems and climate control, systems. Inspects, adjusts, replaces, reconditions related parts, including valves, pistons, gears, bearings, all, fuel, water and power steering pumps. Machine brakes rotors and drums, replace brakes shoes, wheel cylinders, brake lines, air brake slack adjusters, air cans, lines and actuating valves. Adjusts clutches, replace drive line u-joints & check alignment; Replace axles, bearings, seals, differential pinion seals. Overhauls and aligns front & rear suspensions. Balance and change tires, charges A/C systems; builds and installs, operates mobile fueling equipment, or modifies equipment for special purposes and other related work.
