The duties of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Working in conjunction with clerical personnel engaged in support of district
management and field personnel. Responsibilities of district clerical personnel
include but are not limited to: Processing Department damage billings and journal
vouchers, requesting paving, saw cutting, and slurry; inputting fleet hours (T&E);
maintaining various documents and files for installation of new water services,
meters, and related service work; data input of WMIS documents; Trouble Board
duties consisting of operating a two-way radio and relaying water trouble information to field crews, creating, updating, and completing job status in eRespond, and/or CCB, and communicating with Department personnel, consumers, and field personnel. Other duties may include, but are not limited to: Timekeeping duties, which will consist of gathering, evaluating, coding, and inputting daily time for approximately 100 employees, including odd-shift and those subject to a callout; preparing documents for records retention, as well as providing varied miscellaneous support for district personnel. Through cross-training and desk
rotation, staff may be assigned duties including typing and maintaining various
reports; processing DigAlert requests; sorting mail, tracking and releasing invoices

Training may be conducted at various Water Distribution District locations. Position
subject to overtime based on operational needs.
Skills, Knowledge and Ability:
• Knowledge of LADWP policies and procedures, Working Rules, MOUs, Civil
Service Rules, and general office practices pertaining to timekeeping, personnel,
and record-keeping procedures.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and work independently with minimal
supervision.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks promptly.
• Ability to communicate clearly, tactfully, and effectively with outside agencies, as
well as Department personnel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, WMIS, CIS, and RCAS, eRespond, CCB, and MWM is desired.
A valid California Class C Driver’s License is required and must be maintained
during the course of employment.
