The Information Technology Services Division is filling one (1) Senior Systems Analyst II position in the Corporate Applications section. The duties, responsibilities, and requirements of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Manage team responsible for coordination and collaboration with business stakeholders on application development projects.

• Analyze business requirements to translate into technical solutions.

• Lead efforts in developing process models that describe business functions and workflows.

• Act as a liaison between development teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall objectives of projects.

• Lead planning and execution of application development projects.

• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to develop testing strategies.

• Prepare comprehensive documentation related to developed applications, including requirement specifications, design documents, user manuals, and maintenance guides.

• Manage project activities throughout multiple phases ensuring that all impacts are evaluated and communicated to all stakeholders.

• Prepare and administering RFPs, task orders, bids, and contracts.

• Supervisory duties such as maintaining personnel and timekeeping documentation; taking disciplinary actions as necessary; communicating and enforcing EEO and safety policies and procedures; coordinating staff training programs on new technologies and procedures.

• Participate in various IT exercises and response events.

• Perform other related duties, as required.

This position will be located at 221 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90012 but may change to accommodate business needs. During the temporary telecommute schedule in place, employees may have to share and alternately use a workspace(s) on their respective onsite days. Overtime and some travel are required. A valid California Driver’s License is required and must be maintained during the course of employment.

• Strong project management skills, especially in coordination of projects across sections and managing stakeholder and vendor relations.

• Strong problem-solving skills for analysis, development and presentation of technical and business solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong time management, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge and experience in technical project leadership, management, and implementation.

• Knowledge and experience supporting applications, servers, workstations, and networking equipment.

• Knowledge of ITIL best practices for change and incident management.

• Knowledge of Department policies, procedures as well as sound supervisory and safety principles/practices.

• Excellent technical, written, oral, and verbal communication skills.

The evaluation of candidates for this position may be based on a review of training and experience as presented on the resume/application and an interview. Due consideration will be given to attendance records. A performance test may be administered. A background check will be conducted, including review of attendance records or personnel folder.
