The duties of this position include, but may not be limited to:

·    Supervise one (1) Accounting Clerk and one (1) Accountant in processing invoice payments, expenditure approval requests, encumbrances, travel authority, credit card and purchase order payments.

·    Assists the section manager in handling transactions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract and vendor set up and expenditure control. Tracks and logs all general fund invoices for data metric collection/reporting. Responds to work order set up requests and works with the cost allocation/accounting unit to properly track expenditures. Monitors and tracks obligations and expenditures to ensure they are within approved commitments and budgets, including reversion worksheet transactions.

·    Reviews and prepares FMS transactions to receive, appropriate, encumber funds and process payments to vendors, including but not limited to processing PRC, DEX, GAETL, GAEAE, MSA, MMR, SC, VCC, VCMs, etc.

·    Interfaces with internal and external staff on general funded activities, including workforce and economic development programs funded by general funds, to resolve budget and expenditures discrepancies, reporting issues, audit findings or other fiscal related matters.

·    Conducts training on FMS set up transactions, such as contractor (MSA) and vendor (VCC) set up, to expedite payment processing and fiscal compliance.
