The Information Technology Agency (ITA) seeks to fill one Chief Management Analyst (9182) vacancy in the Customer Engagement Bureau (CEB) via an emergency appointment. This position will be reporting to the Assistant General Manager.
The Chief Management Analyst position directs and manages various administrative, compliance, and public-facing operations within the CEB, including but not limited to the 3-1-1 Call Center (MyLA311), telecom/cable TV regulation and PEG revenues/audits, CPRA compliance, and emergency coordination.
Key responsibilities involve oversight and management of divisional day-to-day activities, including the City’s 3-1-1 call center operations; handling customer service inquiries and complaints, bureau administrative support, annual budgets, Council motions / reports, contracts, labor and personnel relations, IT and administrative policies, and communications; liaising with government agencies, City departments, and elected officials; and supporting initiatives like language access, sustainability, and employee engagement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
Two years of full-time paid professional experience in a position at the level of a Senior Management Analyst II, Senior Personnel Analyst II, Senior Administrative Analyst II, or Senior Benefits Analyst II, which provides professional experience in general and financial administration, administrative or legislative analysis and research, budgetary analysis and control, or personnel administration.
Desirable qualifications include experience managing public services or call center operations, customer services, CPRA administration, fiscal management, resource optimization, and labor relations support.
SELECTION PROCESS
Candidates will be evaluated through an interview with a departmental management panel focusing on work experience, leadership, management, and communication skills. A supplemental written exercise may also be required. The process also includes reviewing work history, personnel files, attendance records, and consulting current supervisors.
