This position is open to all full-time Chief Management
Analysts currently employed with the City of Los Angeles. Candidates must have at least
one year of full-time experience as a Chief Management Analyst by the application
deadline.
Summary of Duties
The Chief Management Analyst (Ch MA) serves as the Division Manager of the
Administration Division (ADM), reporting directly to the Program Manager of the Financial
Management & Data Analytics Program, a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Ch MA
position directly supervises two Senior Management Analyst II positions, one Safety
Engineer position, and one Emergency Management Coordinator position.
In addition,
there are currently 30 additional administrative and clerical positions in ADM.
The ADM Ch MA directs subordinate staff providing bureau-wide administrative support
services, including budget, finance, purchasing, contractual services, board reports,
employee and management training, on-campus recruitment, invoice
processing/payments, emergency preparedness, and safety. The Ch MA also manages
subordinate staff supporting bureau-wide human resources and personnel services. The
Ch MA will also assist in expanding the use of data science/analytics and industry-standard software (including PowerBI) to identify administrative process improvements and
efficiency opportunities with the BOE.
