The Role: 

The Personnel Department intends to fill a Senior Personnel Analyst I position in Client Services Group I. This position supervises a team comprised of two Personnel Analysts and one Administrative Clerk which supports the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Contract Administration. The reporting location is 1149 S. Broadway, 3rd Floor.

This Senior Personnel Analyst I supervises a team responsible for providing a full range of personnel services for the Bureau of Contract Administration, including advising management on City policies, rules, and procedures and issues regarding employee discipline, grievance process, Workers’ Compensation benefits, reasonable accommodations/return to work, family and medical leave requests, employee development and other personnel functions. This position coordinates hiring for the department, including identifying recruitment strategies; reviews and approves all employee transactions in Workday; identifies transaction corrections with Records Staff, HRP Team, and ITA; processes all organization changes in Workday; submits requests for Prioritized Critical Hiring, Reassignment Review, and Administrative Review to the City Administrative Officer; conducts various Personnel-related trainings for Bureau staff and supervisors; and conducts workplace equity and disciplinary investigations.
