Los Angeles Fire & Police Pensions (LAFPP) is seeking to fill one (1) Senior Personnel Analyst I position through a Citywide transfer opportunity. The position supervises one Management Analyst involved in the full range of analytical duties associated with personnel administration, including but not limited to: Workday transactions, family medical leave and workers’ compensation claim intake, processing, and case maintenance; coordination of the Department’s employee hiring and onboarding process; coordination and administration of the Department’s employee training program; reviewing, auditing, and providing recommendations on the allocation and reallocation of positions; and providing research and recommendations to supervisors on personnel matters including employee discipline, grievances, employee selection, Charter and Administrative Code provisions, Civil Service Rules, Personnel Policies and Procedures, and employee MOUs. 

 

The position investigates, prepares reports, and drafts recommendations and solutions to Management on difficult, complex, or sensitive personnel issues and problems. The position requires an incumbent with strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills to keep assignments on target, excellent writing skills for drafting Board Reports and Departmental Policies and Procedures, and good oral presentation skills for presenting Board Reports before the Board of Fire and Police Pension Commissioners.  

 

LAFPP offers tuition reimbursement, 9/80 or 5/40 hybrid telecommuting schedule (with a minimum of two in-office days per week) and on-site parking. The work location is at 701 East Third Street, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90013.
