The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) is filling one (1) Management Analyst II position in the Administrative Services group. The position will be located at 233 S. Beaudry Ave, 12th Floor. The available schedule is 5/40 or 9/80 with a start time between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday, in accordance with ITSD’s core business hours.
The duties of the Management Analyst II position may include, but are not limited to:
• Budget Support – Assist in the coordination and development of the Division’s annual budget; assist Section managers in the preparation of organizational budgets; perform budgetary investigation and analysis; manage the use and tracking of work orders; prepare accounting documents; administer charge-back processes; and other related budget activities.
• Personnel Administration – Personally conduct investigations or provide investigation support; perform Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) case management; perform Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) functions; and assist with the hiring process and the maintenance and update of the Annual Personnel Resolution (APR).
• Contract Support – Assist in the preparation, processing and monitoring of specifications, legal agreements, personal/professional services contracts, TORPs, requests for materials; interface with Purchasing, Legal, Accounts Payable, Risk Management and other groups to resolve invoice and/or contract issues and problems.
• Other special projects and related duties.
•May need to drive to other locations to complete daily tasks,
Work location may change to accommodate business needs. During the temporary telecommute schedule in place, employees may have to share and alternately use a work space(s) on their respective onsite days. Overtime and some travel may be required. A valid California Driver’s License is required and must be maintained during the course of employment.
Minimum requirements: Interested candidates must currently be in the class of Management Analyst.
Candidates will be evaluated for the following work related skills, knowledge, abilities:
•Knowledge of LADWP’s policies, procedures, and practices.
•Knowledge of LADWP’s budget process, cost accounting and budget and expense systems.
•Knowledge of LADWP’s contract administration and contracting principles and processes.
•Knowledge of EEO, ADA, and related policies and procedures.
•Ability to analyze and interpret complex material, prepare reports, and make recommendations related to budget and other administrative areas.
•Ability to plan and organize work assignments to meet multiple deadlines, prioritize workload, and demonstrate initiative.
•Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
•Ability to exercise sound judgment.
•Ability to work independently while working effectively with personnel at various levels in the Department, and City administration.
•Ability to analyze, process, and present data using Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Workday, and Department mainframe and systems such as RCAS, HP Budget, and DSS2.
•Effective handling of confidential and/or sensitive information and issues.
