The Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Events Group is seeking self-motivated interns to document and track cost projections, cost tracking, and cost-recovery efforts on behalf of the Department before, during, and after the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The interns will assist in preparing Major Events Group’s input for the Department’s monthly expenditure reporting. They will classify costs as baseline or enhanced and maintain documentation to support reconciliation, reimbursement, and audits, coordinating with Department and City entities.

Essential Job Functions Desired:
• Maintain documentation to support reconciliation, reimbursement, and audits.
• Monitor grant conditions and reporting requirements.
• Assist in preparing, processing, and distributing reports and correspondence.
• Update, maintain, and organize files for records retention.
• Perform necessary calculations and verify the accuracy of computations on invoices.
• Assist in initiating and preparing financial documents.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings.
• Perform a variety of administrative tasks for an office environment.
• Communicate and work effectively with staff, other agencies, and City entities.
